Luke Katt was born in the garden of England (Kent to most people), on the day of the Royal Silver Jubilee (2nd of June 1977). First born to a proud mother and father.

Luke gained an interest in sports from an early age including horse riding, swimming (he could swim from the age of three) and joining the local gymnastics club (where his coach told his mum he was gifted and she would like to train him up to become a professional, a career that Luke thought was to much for one so young).  It wasn't long before another physical activity took hold of his time, passion and imagination, Dance.

Dance was to become a major part of Luke's life from the age of seven.  Pam Howard MBE provided opportunities for Luke through his schooling career to gain as much knowledge as was possible as well as the chance to perform and gain training from some of the most acclaimed people in dance including a pioneering project with Rambert Dance Co, The Royal Ballet and Phoenix Dance Co. Luke also appeared in a number of productions including representing the school on TV, radio and receiving an award from Lord Sainsbury.

Luke stayed on at at school to do his A' levels in which he gained a grade A in Dance and a grade B in Art as well as a sports coaching award (CSLA) and also became a qualified swimming instructor. Luke and a fellow student also started, directed and ran Hextable Youth Dance Company (HYDC), a dance company which then had over 50 dancers, was affiliated with South East Arts, and represented the U.K in a number of festivals also making it to the southern heat of the BT youth dance competition. Over a decade later HYDC is still running (although under different directors).

Also at this time Luke was privileged enough to gain a place in "YOUTH" a semi-professional dance company based at "The Place"  in London, this give him valuable training also allowing him to work and train under Richard Alston (director of "The Place", London Contemporary Dance School, Richard Alston  dance company, previous director of LCDT, Ballet Rambert and Rambert dance co) and many other great dancers and teachers and fulfilling Luke's ambitions to dance on many of London's stages.

Luke continued his education at Roehampton Institute (part of the university of surrey) studying towards a BA Hon's in Dance and Fine Art. Through Roehampton Institute he performed in "reverse effect" at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in a piece choreographed by Lea Anderson (a choreographer he admired greatly) alongside members from her dance company's "cholmondeleys" and "featherstonehaughs" (said chummleys and fanshaws). It was at this time Luke started his professional career as a dancer including Tribal gathering, choreographing and performing in showgirls at the Prince Charles cinema in Leicester Sq, as well as becoming resident dancer for a cable and satellite TV show.

On leaving Roehampton Luke travelled to Ibiza where he worked for two years as a dancer in the clubs, performing in shows, and hotel entertainment he even compared the infamous Manumission Motel!

The following year Luke worked on a cruise ship as a dancer, choreographer and artist allowing him to see many parts of the world including 3 continents.  These years abroad taught him, if nothing else an understanding of at least two other languages (and to know if he is being sworn at in quiet a few more!).

On returning to the U.K. Luke learnt how to fireswing (swinging balls of fire around Ninja style on the end of chains properly known as POI), and performed this in clubs and at festivals.

Luke was also asked to teach Dance back at his old school (which he still does now when his expertise are called for). And was talked in to attending an exercise to music instructors course by a very good friend (Anna it's all your fault and you know it! still love ya though ;0), here he met the infamous Sue Bell (The Boss) and has never looked back. After passing his course Luke then went on to train in Nine Les Mills Programmes, created his own systems and has presented and taught all over Europe not only fitness but master classes in a number of dance genre's.

Luke performed for a pop band in 2004 at a gig in London but is too modest to tell us who! (There are roomers Madonna had something to do with it). Also in 2004 Luke became a member of the team presenting with Mr Motivator all over the country on the Fitness Motivation Weekends at Centre Parcs all over the U.K.

2005 was a busy year for Luke presenting for Belgium television, becoming a part of the U.K. Les Mills National assessment team, Auditioning and training as a NIKE ROCKSTAR WORKOUT approved trainer, Gaining his P.A.D.I. open water diver and becoming a resident Choreographer, Producer and Director for a London night club.

In 2007 Luke became the official choreographer for the Kit Kat Dolls who ended up getting through to the Semi Finals of Simon Cowell's "Britain's got Talent" on ITV.

2009 saw Luke move into management by becoming group fitness manager for two clubs in two of the leading health club chains in the UK. All this and training to become a personal trainer.

2011 Luke moved on already being UK Programme Head Assessor for Les Mills BODYJAM he also trained and became an assessor for the new Les Mills programme CXWORX ready for its Launch in February 2012.  Luke also began his training to become a Trainer to teach people how to become a Fitness Instructor.

2014 Saw the biggest challenge for Luke when opening his own studio Club-K in Hextable Kent UK.  Using all the knowledge gained over the years to create a great environment to work out in.  Burlesque Fit came out of his love for dance amazing fitness knowledge and cheeky attitude combining to create a class that has Luke's exclusive stamp on it.

Luke also continued his passion of Kiteboarding (kitesurfing) and managed to gain his IKO level 2 whilst training at the Red Sea in Egypt.

2015 has seen the development of Club-K into a running business and has seen Luke train in Pilates as well as gaining a diploma in exercise referral allowing Luke to teach special populations with a variety of medical conditions if instructed to do exercise by their GP or other medical professional.

What is in the future for Luke?

well he doesn't want to jinx it by telling everyone watch this space and see as it happens!
